fascinating country of India has one of the largest numbers of tribes that still
follow their ancient customs and rituals, in the whole world. Form the exotic
and colorful tribes of the Northeast, to those belonging to the Chhotanagpur
plateau area, the states of Orissa or Madhya pradesh, each one of these tribes
has a legacy of customs that are deeply steeped in tradition and superstition.
Day 01 : Arr. Kolkata
Arr. Kolkata, meet at airport & transfer to hotel. Overnight at hoel.
Day 02 : Kolkata
Morning city tour of Kolkata - visit the Jain temple, Zoological Gardens, Victoria Memorial & drive past Howrah Bridge, Dalhousie square, Fort Williams, Secretariat Building and Old Court House Street. Afternoon free for leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 : Kolkata - Bhubaneswar
transfer to airport to board on the flight for Bhubaneswar, upon arrival meet at airport & transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 : Bhubaneswar - Baliguda
Morning drive to Baliguda enroute visiting some typical Orissan villages. Upon arrival check-in to Hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 : Baliguda - Belgarh - Rayagada
Early morning proceed to Belghar to visit trek into the villages of Kutia Kondh Tribes inside the forest and mountains. The Kondhs were once famous in the history for their Human Sacrifice. The Kondhs are very simple, frank and they are very hospitable. Their height is average standard. They are healthy, strong. They are very jolly and do not think of future like. Later proceed to Rayagada. Upon arrival check in to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06 : Rayagada - Chatikona -Koraput - Jaipore (Must be a Wednesday)
Morning
drive down to Chatikona to watch the interesting colorful weekly market of Dongaria
Kondh Tribes. This tribe is one of most primitive tribe of the Kondh's they
live in the high slopes of the Niyamagiri Hills. These people are horticulturists.
They grow of fruits like Orange. Pineapple, Banana Etc. The male people are
using earring. Nose-ring and keep their hair as woman. Later proceed to Jeypore
enroute visit some villages of Paroja tribes. Upon arrival check in hotel. Overnight
at hotel.Day 07 : Jeypore - Ankadeli - Lamptaput - Jeypore
Morning proceed to Ankadeli to visit the famous Bonda tribes who comes once every one week for their weekly market. It is a unique opportunity ton see such a colorful concentration of typical tribals of at one place. Most interesting is to watch the Bonda woman in their colourful Jewellaries and marketing commodities. Later proceed to Lampatput, Lampatput and the near by villages are famous for another interesting and primitive tribes of Orissa is the Gadaba. They are one of the early settlers of this country and trace their origin to the time of Ramayana. Your can also watch the famous and beautiful dance of this tribe the Demsa. Return to Jeypore. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08 : Jeypore - Kunduli - Nandapur - Jeypore
Morning excursion tour to Kunduli weekly market. It is the biggest market of the tribal area where you will find the main concentration of the beautiful Sana Paroja & Mali tribes. Later proceed to some of villages to watch the beautiful village life etc. & we will make you small trekking inside the beautiful valley of Nandpur. Evening return to Jeypore. Overnight at hotel.
Day 09 : Jeypore - Taptapani
Morning
proceed to Taptapani enroute visit some Bada Paroja villages. Bada Paraoja is
very well dressed with more ornamental in the body. Also visit some Saora Villages.
Later drive down to Taptapani. If anywhere nature reveals its enigmatic charisma,
it is here in Taptapani, an exotic world of wonder. Enjoy the nature close to
your heart and carry the memory years to come. A hot spring, which till dates
the local habitat use on a mark of Blessing. Arrive evening, check into Hotel.
Overnight at hotel.Day 10 : Taptapani - Chilika Lake - Bhubaneswar
Morning drive down to Chilika Lake, the largest brackish Water Lake in the country. In winter Chilika aflutter with thousands of migratory birds as far as from Siberia. Cruise around the lake. Later proceed to Bhubaneswar, watch the Salt Production and some interesting south Orissa villages with stopover in a primitive textile village. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 : Bhubaneswar - Kolkata
Transfer to airport to board on the flight for Kolkata, on arrival meet at airport & transfer to international airport for onward journey.
