The
"Palace on Wheels" is a week-long cruise recreating the ambience of
the glorious past through the heart of Rajasthan. The elegant interiors of this
magnificent train, with its delectable cuisine and personalised service, exude
an exclusive Old World charm. Each saloon has its own personal attendants who
ensure that your journey is comfortable and enjoyable. Fully air-conditioned,
the fourteen deluxe saloons are equipped with excellent amenities which enhance
the pleasure of travelling. Each saloon is a combination of two twin bedded
and two double - bedded chambers with attached toilets running hot and cold
water and shower facilities. Colourfully attired men and women garland the guests
and accord a ceremonial welcome at the Delhi Cantonment Railway Station form
where the journey starts. For the next seven days, the guest live in regal splendour
as the train winds its way to the Pink City of Jaipur, historical Chittaurgarh
The lake city of Udaipur, fascinating Swai Madhopur, Magical desert cities of
Jaisalmer and Jodhpur, Bharatpur and Agra the charming city of the Taj Mahal.
The journey of lifetime begins as the Palace on Wheels pulls gently out of Delhi
into fascinating Rajasthan. Important Notes : 10% Surcharge shall be levied
on departure during Christmas/New Year as per the policy of "The Palace
On Wheels". Half fare of adult will be charged for children between 5 and

02 : Jaipur (Thursday)The first stop of the Palace on Wheels is Jaipur, the land of Maharajas, magnificent Palaces and impressive forts. One of the most well planned cities of the world. This capital city of Rajasthan, popularly known as the Pink City, was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, in 1727.

- Breakfast served at 0730 hrs.
- Depart for local sightseeing at 0830 hrs.
- Lunch at the Rambagh Palace Hotel at 1300 hrs.
- Depart for Jaisalmer at 1700 hrs.
- Dinner served at 2000 hrs.
Day 03 : Jaisalmer (Friday)
In the heart of the Thar Desert lies Jaisalmer, founded by Rawal Jaisal, in 1156. Here the yellow sandstone fort is an imposing sight, towering magnificently on the shimmering sandscape.
- Arrive at Jaisalmer at 0615 hrs.
- Breakfast served at 0730 hrs.
- Depart for local sightseeing at 0830 hrs.
- Have lunch and rest at 1300 hrs.
- Visit the sand dunes and go on a camel safari at 1700 hrs.
- Have dinner and relish the cultural program at 1930 hrs.
- Depart for Jodhpur at 2300 hrs.
Day 04 : Jodhpur (Saturday)
A city ringed by a high stone wall with seven gates and several bastions. Jodhpur, the second largest city of Rajasthan, founded by Rao Jodha in 1459, is known for its rock-solid Mehrangarh Fort. The grand palaces within - Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal Sileh Khana & Daulat Khana are impressive examples of architectural excellence.

05 : Sawai Madhopur - Chittaurgarh (Sunday)Sawai Madhopur was named after its founder Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I. After breakfast we go to the Ranthambhore National Park. We depart for Chittaurgarh after lunch on-board. In the afternoon we visit the Chittaurgarh fort, lauded in legends velour and chivalry.

- Visit the Ranthambore National Park at 0700 hrs.
- Depart for Chittaurgarh at 1100 hrs.
- Lunch served at 1300 hrs.

- Depart for Udaipur & Dinner served at 2000 hrs.
Day 06 : Chittaurgarh - Udaipur (Monday)
Udaipur was founded by Maharana Udai Singh of Mewar. With enchanting lakes and lush greenery, this place oozes with beauty and is a symbol of romance, the most appealing place for poets, painters, travelers and writers. This fascinating capital of Mewar is surrounded by hills and is situated on the edge of three lakes.

Day 07 : Bharatpur - Agra - Delhi (Tuesday)
Arrive Bharatpur and pay a visit to the world famous bird sanctuary, Keoladeo Ghana National Park, the nesting place for thousands of Egrets, Siberian Cranes, migratory water Fowl and other species of birds. Agra is known for its splendid marble inlay work like the Pietra Dura work on the Taj Mahal, leather goods and jewellery.

- Visit to National Bird Sanctuary between 0730 - 0900 hrs
- Visit of Fatehpur Sikri between 1030 - 1130 hrs

Day 08 - Delhi Cantt. (Wednesday)
Palace on Wheels dream journey ends in Delhi, the heart of India. Delhi is the capital of India and her third largest city. It is a truly cosmopolitan city - a home to people from different sates, speaking different languages and celebrating different festivals. Enjoy the multi-colored atmosphere filled with tremendous "josh" and enthusiasm.
